All Started with a Cadillac

In 2025, while teaching a course in architectural drawing at the Hyvinkää Railway Museum, I drew a railway Cadillac together with the children, teaching them about form, perspective and structure.

But even then, I could already see it as a watercolor.

Watercolor had always seemed to me the most difficult technique — alive, unpredictable and almost impossible to control.

And that was exactly what fascinated me.

That first painting gradually grew into an entire watercolor series inspired by railway history.

One car opened the door to a whole new story.
